The premiere camping destination in Northeast Iowa is found along the stunning Cedar Lake at Cedar View Park. Cedar View Campground offers 43 RV sites and 5 tent sites. Services include water and 30 amp electricity at all RV sites; a waste dump station is available. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. The campground provides a modern restroom with showers. Campers enjoy waterfront camp sites, a private campground boat dock and access to all of the amenities of Cedar View Park.

There is a $5.00 surcharge for campers not registered within 60 minutes of arrival. If a city employee or designee has to collect the camping fee for failure to pay, the daily camping fee will be doubled for each unpaid day.

Howard's Woods
Nashua, Iowa
Howard's Woods is 20 acres of timber and park area on the Cedar River. It was donated to Chickasaw County by the Howard Family in 1959. Howard's Woods is a multiple use area for hunters, fisherman, campers, and hikers. A picnic shelter is provided along with primitive camping facilities, a concrete boat ramp and pit toilets.

A Rock Elm located at Howard's Woods is on the State Register of Big Trees.

River Ranch Campground
Nashua, Iowa
River Ranch Camping is the perfect spot for your camping adventure near the Little Cedar River.
It's great for activities like, swimming, tubing, boating, and fishing. The campground offers full hookups tent sites, rental cabins, a dumping station, rustic restrooms, a snack shop, picnic tables, volleyball, horseshoes.
Please note that reservations are required for Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day weekends.

Saude Recreation Area
Lawler, Iowa
Saude Recreation Area is a 75-acre area with playground, ball diamond, pit toilet, shelter, primitive camping, woodlands, and grasslands. There is a restored prairie on the area.
Primitive camping is allowed for $10.00/day
The park has a playground, a ball diamond, and river fishing on the Little Turkey River.

The park is closed November 1 to April 1 each year. The hunting area is open year round.
Hours are 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 pm. for those not camping.

Fredericksburg
Split Rock Campground
Fredericksburg, Iowa
Split Rock Park is an 80-acre area and is the largest park in the Chickasaw County Conservation Board system. A 7-acre man-made lake was constructed at the park in 1966 and provides quality fishing for Bluegill, Largemouth Bass, and Channel Catfish. Some crappie are occasionally caught.

Ionia
Twin Ponds
Ionia, Iowa
Twin Ponds is a 157-acre conservation area near Ionia, split by the Wapsipinicon River into East and West Parks. Visitors can enjoy hiking trails, fishing ponds, primitive camping, picnic shelters, and abundant wildlife, including eagles, deer, turkey, and waterfowl.

The Twin Ponds Nature Center features educational exhibits, live reptiles, amphibians, fish, and bees, along with meeting space available to rent. Birdwatchers can enjoy a scenic bird blind overlooking the wetlands, while anglers have access to two fishing ponds, including one with an electric-motor-only boat ramp.

The park also offers modern amenities, including restrooms, showers, drinking water, electricity, picnic tables, and accessible facilities, making it a great destination for outdoor recreation and nature exploration.
