Carnegie Cultural Center

New Hampton, Iowa

The Carnegie Cultural Center, located in New Hampton’s historic Carnegie Library building, celebrates the rich history, art, and culture of Chickasaw County. Visitors can explore rotating exhibits featuring local history, artwork, and unique collections while enjoying the beauty of this historic landmark. The Center hosts multiple free events and programs each week, offering opportunities for all ages to connect, learn, and experience something new. Originally built in 1910 through a grant from Andrew Carnegie, the Carnegie Cultural Center continues to be a vibrant gathering place for the community and visitors alike.

Gateway to Northeast Iowa Welcome Center

Gateway to Northeast Iowa Welcome Center is a great stop for travelers visiting Chickasaw County and the surrounding area. Located in Nashua, the Welcome Center provides helpful travel information, maps, brochures, free Wi-Fi, and a craft shop featuring unique items made by Iowa vendors. Visitors can take a break, learn more about local attractions, and find resources to help make the most of their time in Northeast Iowa.

The Welcome Center also serves as a gathering place for the community, offering space for meetings, celebrations, and events while welcoming visitors from near and far. With its scenic location near Cedar Lake and Cedar View Park, it’s a perfect first stop to discover all that Nashua and Chickasaw County have to offer.
